About the role

Fastly is seeking a Senior Logistics & Procurement Analyst to support global supply chain operations. This role focuses on optimizing inventory, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient delivery of network infrastructure. You will be instrumental in maintaining Fastly's edge cloud platform by securing necessary hardware and services.

What you'll do

• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from initial sourcing to final delivery.
• Manage inventory levels and forecasts to prevent shortages and reduce excess stock.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
• Coordinate logistics for shipping and receiving equipment to various global locations.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and finance, on supply chain needs.
• Resolve issues related to shipments, vendor performance, and product quality.

Requirements

• Experience in global logistics and procurement within a technology or network infrastructure environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex supply chains and international shipping.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and external partners.
• Understanding of import/export regulations and customs compliance.
