The company is seeking a Staff Product Manager to take ownership of its AI, data, and machine learning platform. This role is central to shaping the systems and tools that power Faire's marketplace intelligence, operational workflows, and data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will work hand in hand with engineering, data science, and design teams to define and ship platform-level features that serve both internal teams and external marketplace participants. What you'll do
Define the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for Faire's AI, data, and machine learning platform.
Partner with data science and engineering teams to translate complex ML capabilities into usable product features.
Own the full product lifecycle for platform tools, from discovery and ideation through launch and iteration.
Synthesize input from stakeholders across Faire's organization to surface high-impact opportunities for AI-driven improvements.
Work with wholesale marketplace operations to understand how data and ML models can improve brand-retailer matching.
Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that guide engineering teams through delivery.
Define success metrics and KPIs for platform features, and use data to measure impact and shape priorities.
Collaborate with designers, researchers, and go-to-market teams to ensure cohesive and effective product experiences.
Lead experimentation programs, including A/B testing and model evaluation pipelines, to validate product hypotheses.
Represent the AI and data platform team in cross-team planning, architecture reviews, and company-wide roadmapping.
Requirements
Five or more years of experience in product management, with at least two years on data-intensive or AI/ML-driven products.
Experience leading product efforts at a marketplace, platform, or two-sided business model is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, data pipelines, and model deployment in production environments.
Ability to work effectively with engineering teams that use modern data stack technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Strong communication skills with the capacity to explain complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience setting product strategy and roadmaps in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity.
A bias toward action and comfort making product decisions under uncertainty with incomplete information.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Nice to have
Experience working with large-scale wholesale or supply chain data sets and the unique challenges of marketplace data.
Familiarity with MLOps practices such as model monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines for machine learning systems.
Background in building internal tooling or developer-facing platforms that serve multiple teams within a single organization.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar query languages that support independent exploration and analysis of platform data.
Skills & tools
Product management frameworks and methodologies for roadmap planning, prioritization, and feature scoping.
SQL and data query skills for independent analysis of platform metrics and user behavior patterns.
Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning models, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for data and ML infrastructure.
Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows used by engineering teams.
Proficiency with product analytics tools and experimentation platforms for measuring feature impact and user outcomes.
Practical notes
This role is based in either New York City, NY or San Francisco, CA, with the expectation of working from one of these offices on a regular basis.
