About the role
Join our Public Services team as a Frontend Engineer, transforming complex data insights into clear visual experiences for clients. You will contribute to solving unique challenges using AI and Machine Learning, working closely with various delivery teams. This role seeks an innovative technologist to enhance our frontend development practices and bring AI solutions to life.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Work with data scientists, data engineers, and designers to create client-facing products.
- Manage the prioritization, planning, coordination, and communication of frontend features to stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain development and deployment infrastructure for your dedicated frontend team.
- Uphold technical best practices and standards across all frontend development at Faculty.
- Develop and maintain reusable component libraries for company-wide use.
- Provide training, mentorship, and onboarding support for new frontend engineers.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for frontend software engineering within your team.
Requirements
- Proven history of building scalable, maintainable, and well-tested web applications using React.
- High proficiency in core web technologies including ES6 JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3.
- Practical experience writing TypeScript or other typed languages for robust codebases.
- Experience with data visualization techniques and implementations, such as d3.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments on platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong commitment to technical excellence, with a desire to set standards and mentor others.
Nice to have
- Willingness to pursue UK Security Clearance (SC) and work on-site with government clients as needed.
