Senior Data Scientist

About the role

Faculty is seeking a technical leader to guide high-stakes AI projects within our Life Sciences division. You will design bespoke algorithms, oversee software architecture, and mentor junior team members while maintaining strong partnerships with our pharmaceutical and MedTech clients.

What you'll do

• Direct project teams in the creation and deployment of custom AI solutions for the life sciences sector.
• Establish the primary data science strategy and technical architecture for new client engagements.
• Provide mentorship to junior data scientists to foster their professional development.
• Collaborate with commercial staff to define project scopes and assess technical feasibility.
• Represent the company through public speaking, course delivery, or open-source contributions.
• Enforce project lifecycle standards to ensure high-quality, measurable results.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in a professional data science role or a quantitative academic discipline.
• Proficiency in Python, including core libraries like NumPy and Pandas, and deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Advanced knowledge of data science paradigms including supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, and model validation.
• Ability to develop original, innovative algorithms.
• Experience in client-facing environments with the capacity to convert business requirements into mathematical models.
• Proven skill in project management, including timeline estimation and technical scoping.
