Join Extend as a Legal Counsel and contribute to the daily business operations of a rapidly growing technology company. You will play a vital role within the legal department and across the organization.

What you'll do

• Provide legal guidance for commercial agreements and corporate transactions.
• Manage the drafting and negotiation of various commercial contracts and complex deals.
• Offer counsel to teams including revenue, marketing, HR, finance, engineering, and product development.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the legal function.
• Support preparations for operating as a public company.
• Assist in organizing and planning board and committee meetings.
• Oversee global corporate administration, ensuring compliance with international, federal, and state laws, managing domestic and foreign entities, and supporting executive compensation and stock administration.

Requirements

• Possess a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be in good standing with a state bar.
• Have 3-5 years of experience at a prominent law firm, with prior in-house experience being a plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, prioritize effectively, think critically, and exercise sound judgment.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Show a willingness to exceed expectations, set high standards, and pursue continuous improvement.
• Express enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration and tackling new or unfamiliar projects.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

Practical notes

• Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 annually.
• Extend does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
