Extend is transforming the post-purchase customer journey for retailers. We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial and operational data. This role is crucial for supporting reconciliation, audit readiness, and precise payment processing for our partners.
Key facts
What you'll do
Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt to support auditable reconciliation between internal and external systems.
Manage and enhance data workflows for claim reimbursements and contract sales, ensuring accurate financial tracking with partners.
Collaborate with Accounting, Engineering, Operations, and Reporting teams to align financial data and bridge technical and non-technical understanding.
Uphold data integrity across systems and prepare for internal and external audits through clear, traceable data practices.
Utilize tools like Thunderclient and Postman to interact with production systems and improve integrations with service providers and merchants for timely expense reporting and payments.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues, proposing process improvements to minimize errors and manual effort.
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role focused on operational data systems.
Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt.
Demonstrated ability to interact with APIs using tools such as Thunderclient or Postman.
Familiarity with reconciliation processes, financial audit preparation, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively across diverse teams.
A proactive problem-solving approach to identify and address data inconsistencies.

Experience in a fast-paced startup or cross-functional team environment.
Prior work with claims, reimbursements, or financial data operations.

Salary range: $138,750 - $161,250 per year.
