About the role
Expressable is expanding its team with a Healthcare/Provider Contract Coordinator to support the Contract Negotiation team. This role involves coordinating all payer contracting activities from initial request through final implementation. You will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality virtual speech therapy services.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Submit new contract requests for providers and the organization to various payers, including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care.
- Monitor the status of contract applications and follow up with payer representatives to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain detailed records of all contract submissions and ongoing negotiations.
- Organize and manage electronic contract files and related documentation.
- Provide administrative assistance to Contract Negotiators throughout the entire contracting process.
- Coordinate contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as assigned.
- Work with Credentialing, Revenue Cycle, Provider Operations, Finance, Clinical Operations, and Information Technology teams to implement new agreements successfully.
- Research reimbursement rates using payer fee schedules and public resources like Medicare and Medicaid.
- Manage the shared email inbox for contracting inquiries.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with payer representatives and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare administration, provider contracting, medical billing, revenue cycle, or a similar healthcare support role.
- Basic understanding of payer agreements.
- Direct experience working with payers.
- Experience following up with payers regarding application status.
- Practical experience completing and submitting credentialing applications for commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare payers.
- Ability to navigate payer portals and research specific payer requirements.
- Experience with electronic document management systems.
Nice to have
- Associate's Degree or some college education.
- Experience with commercial insurance and/or government payers.
- Familiarity with payer credentialing and enrollment workflows.
