Key facts
What you'll do
- Execute the full scope of work expected for the Platform Engineer position at Exiger across multiple locations.
- Design, implement, and maintain multi-region CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Helm within a hardened Kubernetes environment.
- Construct and manage infrastructure features with secure Kubernetes operations, aligning configurations with NIST and CIS benchmarks.
- Develop and deploy observability strategies, including creating SLOs and dashboards in CloudWatch or Datadog to measure and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with security teams to automate compliance checks across the supply chain mapping and ensure continuous adherence to standards.
- Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate infrastructure-as-code development and scripting, with careful validation of all outputs.
- Verify deployments through thorough testing and defined rollback plans before changes are released to users, minimizing production risk.
- Maintain EKS clusters by performing careful resource tuning and ongoing checks of autoscaling behavior to ensure efficiency and stability.
Requirements
- Demonstrate proven production experience with CI/CD workflows within the past four years to ensure current operational knowledge.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field as evidence of foundational knowledge.
- Show deep familiarity with Python or Go, along with extensive experience using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform in production settings.
- Be authorized to work in the United States due to government contract requirements, restricting eligibility to U.S. work locations.
- Consistently apply secure practices in daily work, including reviewing AWS IAM policies and cluster configurations for security and compliance.
- Maintain reliability standards by designing systems that support supply chain risk transparency and manageability for customers.
- Operate with autonomy and ownership, contributing to infrastructure automation and observability with minimal supervision.
- Commit to continuous learning and adaptation in a fast-paced environment that uses modern tools and evolving platforms.
