What you'll do
Develop and architect high-availability, scalable local (LAN), wide area (WAN), and wireless (WLAN) networks.
Plan and deploy network infrastructure for both on-premises and hybrid environments.
Select and integrate network hardware and solutions from various vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and Fortinet.
Configure dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, alongside switching technologies like VLANs, STP, and LACP.
Implement secure remote access solutions, including Site-to-Site VPN, Remote Access VPN, and MPLS.
Proactively monitor network performance and availability using tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Datadog, SolarWinds, ELK, and SIEM systems.
Analyze network traffic to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Manage software and firmware updates for network devices to minimize business disruption.
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
Implement and maintain security policies on next-generation firewalls (NGFW).
Configure access control systems, such as Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and RADIUS/TACACS+.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to detect and mitigate network threats.
Automate routine network configuration and management tasks using scripting languages like Python and Bash, and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Research and introduce new network technologies and solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Provide technical leadership (L3) for resolving complex network incidents.
Mentor and train junior and mid-level network engineers, conducting reviews of their work.
Requirements
Over 5 years of experience in a similar network engineering role.
Proven experience designing and building medium to large-scale enterprise networks from inception, including architecture, hardware selection, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of networking hardware and configuration from multiple vendors, such as Cisco, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, and Juniper.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting wireless networks, including radio surveys and planning.
Proficiency in configuring and utilizing network monitoring systems.
Ability to predict and rapidly resolve network issues and incidents.
Understanding of information security principles (CIA triad) and their application in network design.
Familiarity with ISO 27001 requirements.
Experience implementing security measures both internally and at the network perimeter.
Hands-on experience with monitoring systems like Zabbix, ELK, and SIEM.
Nice to have
Relevant certifications such as FCP, CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP.
