Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

This position is for a leading developer and manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles for defense purposes. You will guide a team of engineers in creating advanced defense products. The role involves overseeing the entire design lifecycle from concept to production.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead mechanical design role, with a proven track record of team management and project scaling.
• Strong technical management skills for end-to-end project execution.
• Significant experience with composite and lightweight structures.
• Deep understanding of structural factors, manufacturability, and ergonomics.
• Familiarity with metal processing (steel, aluminum), plastics (including injection molding), and rubber technologies.
• Expertise in manufacturing metal and composite parts, and proficiency with 3D printing.
• Experience working with external contractors both domestically and internationally.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.
• Relevant higher education degree.
