Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop software for flight control systems.
- Implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms on microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Enhance existing firmware for specific hardware.
- Integrate sensors like IMU and Proximity, and manage microcontroller peripherals.
- Debug systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
- Analyze and resolve firmware-hardware interaction issues.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on system design.
- Participate in testing and validation for mass production.
Requirements
- Proficient in C programming and experience with Doxygen documentation.
- Practical experience with Make and CMake build systems.
- Experience programming STM32, Texas Instruments, or Raspberry Pi Pico microcontrollers.
- Experience with NuttX, FreeRTOS, or ZephyrRTOS.
- Familiarity with SPI, CAN, RS-422, and RS-485 interfaces.
- Strong command of Git version control.
- Experience with logic analyzers and JTAG/SWD programmers.
- Basic understanding of electronics and ability to read schematics.
Nice to have
- Soldering skills and experience with rapid prototyping of embedded systems.
- Experience with TCP/IP networking.
- Practical experience with Ardupilot or PX4 flight stacks.
- Experience developing for the Cortex-R5 platform.
- Experience with multi-core systems and the OpenAMP framework.
- Experience developing for Embedded Linux using Buildroot, Yocto, or PetaLinux.
- Knowledge of Python.
