Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop software for flight control systems.
• Implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms on microcontrollers and microprocessors.
• Enhance existing firmware for specific hardware.
• Integrate sensors like IMU and Proximity, and manage microcontroller peripherals.
• Debug systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Analyze and resolve firmware-hardware interaction issues.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on system design.
• Participate in testing and validation for mass production.

Requirements

• Proficient in C programming and experience with Doxygen documentation.
• Practical experience with Make and CMake build systems.
• Experience programming STM32, Texas Instruments, or Raspberry Pi Pico microcontrollers.
• Experience with NuttX, FreeRTOS, or ZephyrRTOS.
• Familiarity with SPI, CAN, RS-422, and RS-485 interfaces.
• Strong command of Git version control.
• Experience with logic analyzers and JTAG/SWD programmers.
• Basic understanding of electronics and ability to read schematics.

Nice to have

• Soldering skills and experience with rapid prototyping of embedded systems.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking.
• Practical experience with Ardupilot or PX4 flight stacks.
• Experience developing for the Cortex-R5 platform.
• Experience with multi-core systems and the OpenAMP framework.
• Experience developing for Embedded Linux using Buildroot, Yocto, or PetaLinux.
• Knowledge of Python.
