Senior Quality Engineer

Join Everbridge's engineering team to ensure the quality and reliability of modern SaaS products, including those with AI assistance. You will design and maintain test cases across various layers and collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate quality practices early in development. This role involves using advanced engineering and AI-assisted methods to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Perform and manage manual testing throughout the development process, validating new features within an agile framework.
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to define acceptance criteria, test strategies, and edge cases early on.
• Contribute to building and maintaining automated tests for API and UI, expanding coverage and reducing regression risks.
• Support and improve test environments, frameworks, and tools to boost testing efficiency and reliability.
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools, coding agents, and test generation to speed up test creation, improve coverage, and debug issues.
• Critically review AI-generated test artifacts to ensure they validate business outcomes, system behavior, and failure modes, not just technical responses.
• Monitor test results, communicate risks, and advocate for continuous improvements in quality and delivery speed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience testing enterprise-level, scalable, and distributed applications.
• Experience with version control systems like Github or GitLab.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a quick ability to learn new tools.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-assisted outputs, identifying gaps and validating assumptions.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Playwright).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, or AI-assisted test automation.
• Experience testing products that include large language models, AI/ML, agentic workflows, or decision-support features.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
