Sales Manager, Annuities

About the role

Ethos Life is expanding into the annuities market to provide families with reliable retirement income. We are seeking a foundational leader to build our sales strategy, manage operations, and drive initial revenue as a hands-on player-coach.

What you'll do

• Manage the full sales funnel and hit revenue targets while actively selling and coaching.
• Recruit and develop a high-performing team of licensed sales and operations staff.
• Create and maintain the operational framework for licensing, suitability, rollovers, and commissions.
• Collaborate with Marketing to refine lead quality, scripts, and sales funnels.
• Use customer data and unit economics to guide product strategy for quoting, e-apps, and servicing.
• Implement coaching routines, including call reviews and shadowing, to improve team performance.
• Define and track KPIs to ensure accountability and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading inside sales and operations teams within a D2C environment.
• Active Life and Annuity producer license with current NAIC training.
• Proven history of exceeding sales quotas in compliance-heavy, consultative environments.
• Mastery of end-to-end annuity processes, including suitability, replacements, funding, and servicing.
• Proficiency in forecasting, pipeline management, and modern CRM and telephony software.
• Ability to write effective training materials and sales scripts.
