About the role
Ethos is seeking a driven finance leader to join its Finance & Strategy group. This position will oversee the financial strategy and performance management for our Go-To-Market operations. You will act as a financial advisor to leaders in Marketing, Product, and Sales, concentrating on GTM financial modeling, customer acquisition costs, profitability, and evaluating new business ventures. Additionally, you will engage with external parties through corporate or business development channels to support these goals.

What you'll do
- Manage financial planning and forecasting for the Go-To-Market business.
- Lead initiatives to better serve new customer demographics, introduce new insurance products, or develop partnership offerings.
- Apply business acumen and financial analysis to guide decisions on unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and emerging opportunities.
- Enhance the speed and effectiveness of growth by collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams.
- Utilize a data-centric analytical approach to influence decision-making and assist company leadership in assessing strategic initiatives.
- Develop and track key financial performance indicators, and share actionable insights with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including:
- 4 or more years in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, strategic finance, or consulting, with significant experience in due diligence or private equity.
- 6 to 8 or more years in Strategic Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Business Operations roles at a Go-To-Market or consumer-focused company, with a strong emphasis on data and financial analysis.
- Profound understanding of Go-To-Market unit economics and growth efficiency metrics, including customer acquisition funnels, cohort analysis, and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
- Capacity to work effectively at both strategic and detailed operational levels.
- Strong communication abilities to influence cross-functional colleagues.
- A motivated self-starter with a history of achievement, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines; a desire to take ownership and drive projects from inception.
- An excellent academic record with a degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Business, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Practical notes
- US National Base Salary Range: $191,000 - $338,000.
- Compensation is determined by role, level, and location. The displayed range represents the target for new hires across all US locations. Individual pay is influenced by work location, job-related skills, experience, and education.
