Junior Facilities Planner at Erg.
About the role
Erg is seeking a Junior Facilities Planner to assist with federal and commercial infrastructure projects. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to develop master plans and analyze facility requirements in a fast-paced consulting environment.

What you'll do
- Support the creation and maintenance of installation master plans and area development documents.
- Analyze land use, utility systems, transportation, and facility conditions to inform long-term strategy.
- Gather and organize data for infrastructure studies.
- Draft technical reports, maps, and visual presentations under senior supervision.
- Ensure all deliverables meet federal guidance and Unified Facilities Criteria standards.
- Lead and facilitate planning workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Evaluate project alternatives and develop cost estimates or space requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Urban Planning, Community Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience in facilities, urban, campus, or infrastructure planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while working in a collaborative team.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance.
Nice to have
- Previous internship or work experience with federal or Department of Defense clients.
- Knowledge of installation master planning, capital planning, or land use processes.
- Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria or federal planning regulations.
- Proficiency in GIS software, specifically ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience creating technical reports, maps, or planning documentation.
- Interest in obtaining American Institute of Certified Planners certification.
