About the role
Join a patient care team to guide individuals through eating disorder treatment. You will help patients stay on track with their recovery plans and fully engage with the program. This involves addressing obstacles, customizing treatment, and teaching essential recovery skills.

What you'll do
- Lead individual and group sessions focused on skills for patients and their caregivers.
- Use motivational techniques to encourage patients and caregivers to follow their care plans and complete program activities.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress.
- Help patients and caregivers anticipate challenges and develop coping strategies.
- Manage your calendar for scheduling patient and caregiver appointments.
- Conduct proactive outreach, follow up on missed appointments, send reminders, and track engagement.
- Solve problems to ensure patients adhere to their care plans, offering practical solutions to roadblocks.
- Recommend program adjustments and coordinate services to meet patient needs, such as booking extra sessions, arranging meal support, or suggesting resources.
- Build trusting relationships with patients.
- Document all interactions with caregivers and patients promptly and accurately.
- Attend internal meetings and complete assigned training.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Personal experience with eating disorder recovery, and a stable recovery status.
- At least 2 years of experience working directly with patients in a structured care environment (e.g., coaching, case management, mentorship, social work, milieu therapy).
- Comfortable working within defined care models or evidence-based protocols.
- Ability to balance structured protocols with personalized care, adapting to patient needs while maintaining treatment goals.
- Demonstrated responsibility for patient care plans, using evidence-based methods to keep patients on track.
- Experience guiding patients and families toward treatment goals, identifying and resolving barriers.
- Ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Interest in evidence-based care and a willingness to learn new coaching skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, fostering professional relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a history of achieving goals.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfortable using and learning new technology.
- Comfortable working remotely, including being on camera.
- Ability to handle uncertainty and think critically to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to provide 33 hours of direct patient care per week, including new patient and follow-up sessions.
- Available to work two evenings until 8 PM each week (evenings of your choice).
- Available for a minimum of 20 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the patient's time zone weekly.
