Group Product Manager, AI & Clinical Intelligence

This role will lead the product direction for AI-driven features that enhance clinical care. You will bridge the gap between AI technology, clinical practice, and user experience to create effective digital tools. It's a highly collaborative position focused on translating complex clinical needs into practical AI solutions.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and manage the product strategy for AI and clinical intelligence initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and patient outcomes.
• Work closely with AI/ML engineers to define, build, and release new features, translating clinical needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
• Collaborate with clinical experts to ensure AI tools support best practices in eating disorder treatment and minimize clinical risk.
• Establish and oversee responsible AI practices, including model assessment, safety protocols, and monitoring for bias.
• Create frameworks to evaluate AI model performance, clinical impact, and user trust, going beyond simple usage metrics.
• Guide AI product development from initial concept through to launch and ongoing improvement.
• Incorporate healthcare regulations and compliance standards, such as HIPAA, into product and model specifications.
• Conduct user research with patients and providers to identify opportunities for AI to improve care or reduce workload.
• Present AI product plans, risks, and outcomes to executive and clinical leadership.
• Mentor product managers working on AI and clinical intelligence projects.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in product management, with substantial experience in AI/ML within regulated or sensitive healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including model evaluation and safety mechanisms, to effectively collaborate with engineering teams.
• Proven experience in developing products for clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and clinical decision support standards.
• Ability to establish clear guidelines for AI use in clinical settings, even when faced with uncertainty.
• Demonstrated skill in leading cross-functional teams and communicating effectively between clinical, technical, and leadership groups.
• A data-driven approach to measuring product success, clinical results, and safety.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in mental health or eating disorder treatment.
• Direct work with clinical decision support systems, care coordination tools, or AI for clinical documentation.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks in healthcare.
• Experience collaborating with or managing applied AI/ML engineering teams.
• Understanding of value-based care models and healthcare quality measurement.
• Knowledge of behavioral health regulations and patient privacy laws.
