This role is for an accounting expert who will serve as the primary point of contact for all accounting matters within the company. Key facts
What you'll do
Manage monthly and annual financial closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Conduct technical accounting research and document accounting positions, policies, and procedures for significant transactions.
Maintain and execute internal controls and compliance procedures to ensure audit readiness.
Perform monthly analysis to explain financial statement variances.
Assist the Controller with annual financial audits, providing necessary documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
Compile and organize data for tax professionals to support federal, state, and local tax filings.
Support reporting needs and conduct ad hoc financial analyses.
Provide accounting expertise during system implementations, verifying data accuracy and integration.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency through automation.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Possess at least 5 years of professional accounting experience, including experience with complex closing cycles.
Be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Demonstrate strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, and Google Workspace.
Have experience with multi-entity operations or healthcare accounting.
Possess exceptional attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

This position is fully remote with no travel requirements.
