Junior Security Analyst

About the role

EPITEC is hiring a Tier I analyst to join the Network Security Operations Center team in Harrisburg. You will be responsible for maintaining constant vigilance over critical communication infrastructure and information systems. This role requires a commitment to a 24/7 operational schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you'll do

• Monitor mission-critical systems and communication sites from the physical office location.
• Identify, categorize, and escalate security alerts to ensure they are addressed within required timeframes.
• Document all events received via voice, email, chat, or other communication channels.
• Filter out false positives by analyzing technical data and applying triage standards.
• Collaborate with the team to improve existing detection strategies, metrics, dashboards, and playbooks.
• Communicate incident details and response steps to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in the resolution of security and network incidents under the guidance of senior staff.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of professional experience within a security operations center.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong technical documentation and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.
