Experienced (Intermediate) QA Engineer at Enable.
About the role
Enable is a growing company focused on simplifying rebate management and pricing strategy through AI-driven insights. We are looking for an analytical QA Engineer to join our product and customer delivery teams to ensure high standards across our platform. You will have the chance to influence our testing processes while receiving support to grow your technical skills in automation and environment management.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Evaluate project requirements to design and execute effective test plans for new features and bug fixes.
- Perform functional, regression, UI, and backend testing including API and database validation.
- Manage bug reporting and triage, tracking issues until they are fully resolved.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to align with engineering and user experience teams.
- Create repeatable test cases to increase overall test coverage.
- Mentor newer QA team members as the department scales.
- Propose system improvements to enhance user experience and prevent future defects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing.
- Proficiency in various testing methodologies including functional, system, usability, and regression.
- Experience with black box, white box, and static testing techniques.
- Ability to read system architecture documentation and diagrams.
- Familiarity with SQL queries and database concepts.
- Practical experience with API testing.
- Exposure to test automation and common tech stacks such as C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Nice to have
- Relevant testing certifications or bootcamp training such as ISTQB, RST, or MoT.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, UFT, RFT, Cypress, or Tosca.
- Background in testing ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Infor, or D365 FinOps.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts.
Skills & tools
- Test management tools such as ADO, JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, Quality Center, or Linear.
- Understanding of SDLC models including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and DevOps.
- Familiarity with industry standards like ISTQB, ISO, or CSTE.
