Devops Engineer

About the role

Ema is seeking an experienced Devops Engineer to help build and scale its Agentic AI platform. This role involves designing and implementing infrastructure to support a rapidly growing product and user base, focusing on system reliability, scalability, and performance. You will contribute to service architecture, deployment strategies, and data infrastructure for machine learning.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product teams to design and build core product infrastructure.
• Adapt quickly to technology changes and work methods in a startup environment, building infrastructure components from scratch.
• Design and deploy highly available, scalable multi-tenant SaaS solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automate infrastructure tasks like provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Work closely with software development to improve CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
• Write scripts using Shell and Python.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure engineering or a similar role, with a preference for Azure experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience collaborating with global teams.
• Familiarity with air-gapped cloud environments or private clouds.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML/Ops.
• Ability to architect and implement advanced observability solutions.
• Skills in proactively identifying and remediating infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Experience deploying comprehensive testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of engineering sophisticated network designs for multi-cloud data planes.
• Experience with performance analysis, including optimizing database queries.
• Background in query optimization, data normalization, and related performance improvements.
• Experience with event-driven data and machine learning infrastructure, including streaming pipelines, database systems, and model training.
