About the role

Elfbeauty is looking for an Accounts Receivable professional to manage end-to-end cash application and collections. This role works in close partnership with our US finance team to maintain accurate ledger records and resolve payment discrepancies.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Process all incoming payments including wire transfers, EFT/ACH, checks, lockbox, and credit card transactions.
• Reconcile accounts by applying remittances, managing short-pays, and resolving unidentified cash.
• Handle customer deduction validation, coding, and documentation while working with the collections team to resolve issues.
• Conduct collection activities such as sending statements, tracking payment commitments, and logging disputes.
• Support month-end closing by ensuring the AR sub-ledger is clean and exceptions are resolved.
• Generate regular reports regarding aging, deduction status, and cash posting metrics.
• Communicate with US-based stakeholders to address payment queries and maintain service level agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, or commerce.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, specifically focused on cash application.
• Ability to manage credit memos, write-offs, and customer deductions.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Ability to work a shift from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Prior exposure to collections processes.

Practical notes

This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Compensation includes a competitive salary, benefits, equity, and bonus eligibility. Over the last four fiscal years, the bonus payout has averaged 200 percent of the target. Please note that the required shift timing is subject to extension based on business needs.
