Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

EarnIn is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to integrate artificial intelligence into our core infrastructure and developer workflows. You will split your time between traditional platform engineering and building AI-assisted tools, focusing on production-grade agentic systems and automated platform operations.

What you'll do

• Develop MCP servers that connect platform capabilities to AI agents and developer assistants.
• Build agentic workflows for incident management, deployment validation, and infrastructure remediation.
• Implement LLM gateway and routing patterns to manage AI costs, model selection, and observability.
• Maintain and scale AWS EKS infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Improve platform reliability by managing SLOs, error budgets, and Datadog-based observability.
• Create FinOps automation to track and optimize cloud and AI-related spending.
• Conduct experiments to measure the impact of AI tools on developer productivity and system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering within cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python and Go for production service development.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Practical knowledge of building or integrating MCP servers and agentic AI workflows.
• Experience with LLM gateway patterns, RAG, and structured prompting.
• Background in FinOps, including cloud cost attribution and workload optimization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT.
