About the role
EarnIn is seeking a Compensation Analyst II to support our global compensation and equity programs. This role is integral to attracting, retaining, and rewarding our team members fairly and competitively. You will manage day-to-day operations, including salary structures, market analysis, equity administration, and supporting compensation cycles.

What you'll do
- Maintain and enhance global salary structures and job architecture, ensuring alignment with market data and internal fairness.
- Conduct regular market benchmarking using survey data and provide recommendations for pay positioning.
- Assist with annual compensation review processes, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus cycles, by developing tools, reviewing inputs, and auditing outcomes.
- Collaborate with People Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation guidance for new hires, offers, and promotions.
- Address ad hoc compensation inquiries from leadership and employees, translating data into clear, actionable advice.
- Monitor and analyze pay equity across the organization, identifying any trends that require further review.
- Administer equity grants (RSUs, stock options) from start to finish, including processing, vesting, and termination events.
- Act as a key contact with our equity platform provider and internal Finance and Legal teams.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of equity data, reconciling between the equity platform and HRIS.
- Support equity-related reporting, audits, and compliance requirements, including international tax considerations.
- Educate employees on their equity awards and develop resources to improve understanding.
- Stay informed about global equity regulations and proactively flag compliance issues.
- Develop and maintain compensation reports and dashboards for leadership visibility.
- Contribute to the improvement of compensation processes and documentation as the company grows.
- Partner with PxT Operations and Finance on headcount planning and compensation modeling.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in compensation, total rewards, or a related analytical field such as finance, HR analytics, or consulting.
- Experience contributing to the development or evolution of compensation philosophies, including pay positioning, scalable frameworks, or workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of broad-based compensation principles, including salary structures, market pricing, job leveling, and pay equity, with the ability to apply them in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including working with large datasets and building analytical models.
- Familiarity with at least one compensation survey methodology (e.g., Radford/Aon, Mercer, Compdata).
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and preventing errors.
- Ability to communicate compensation decisions clearly and effectively to non-specialists.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive employee data with strict confidentiality.
Nice to have
- Experience with equity administration, including grant processing, vesting schedules, and the mechanics of RSUs and stock options.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience supporting a global organization with employees in multiple countries.
- Familiarity with an HRIS system (e.g., Workday, Rippling).

Practical notes
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Occasional travel to Mountain View, CA HQ may be required.
- The base salary range for this role in Mountain View, CA is $134,000-$164,000, plus equity and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
