About the role
This role supports the sales team by providing data-driven insights and narratives to secure new business and maintain existing client relationships. You will translate advertising performance into clear stories, offer strategic advice for campaign improvements, and act as a key analytical resource in client discussions.

What you'll do
Develop prospect profiles identifying promising brand targets based on market presence and competition.
Create budget proposals and media plans informed by past performance data and retailer-specific information.
Produce engaging pitch materials, including projected results and return on investment scenarios, to aid sales presentations.
Generate monthly performance summaries for brand clients, transforming raw ad data into actionable strategic narratives.
Conduct quarterly analyses to assess campaign effectiveness, incremental impact, share of voice, and consumer behavior.
Connect advertising spend to business outcomes like return on ad spend, new customer acquisition, market share growth, and conversion rate increases.
Design and manage client-facing dashboards and internal reporting tools.
Build repeatable templates and automated processes to streamline reporting.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency through thorough quality checks.
Present findings and address data-related questions from brand partners in client meetings.
Offer strategic guidance for new campaigns, budget adjustments, and placement optimizations using performance data.
Communicate the impact of paused or reduced ad spending on performance to highlight the value of ongoing investment.
Collaborate with Sales, Ad Operations, and Product teams to align on goals and share insights.
Participate in testing new ad features and platform capabilities, providing feedback based on performance data.
Fulfill ad hoc analytical requests from the sales team promptly.
Requirements
Possess 3-5+ years of experience in digital advertising analytics, media analytics, ad operations, or a similar data-focused position.
Demonstrate strong SQL skills with experience querying large datasets; Snowflake experience is highly preferred.
Exhibit a talent for data storytelling, capable of transforming numerical data into actionable narratives.
Be comfortable presenting findings and answering questions in client-facing situations.
Have experience working collaboratively with sales, operations, and product departments.
Maintain strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and client deadlines.
Proficiency in SQL for querying data.
Familiarity with Snowflake.
Experience with Hex or similar visualization tools.
Understanding of ad platform data, POS data, telemetry data, product data, and retailer data.
Ability to build market share reports, market impact reports, QBRs, ad metric reports, ad incrementality reports, and retailer-level reports.
Capacity to quickly extract insights for sales and product teams.
Ability to write queries to test the impact of campaign optimizations.
Experience working with product teams on A-B testing for incrementality reports.
Nice to have
Experience with data visualization platforms like Looker or similar BI tools.
Background in media, digital advertising (retail media, programmatic, display, or sponsored product ads).
Familiarity with ad performance metrics such as ROAS, CTR, incrementality, share of voice, and conversion rate.
Experience with presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides).
Exposure to the cannabis, CPG, or retail media sectors.

Targeted starting salary range: $107,000 - $178,000.
