About the role
You will architect and lead the B2B regional marketing strategy for institutional audiences across the UK, Europe, and the ANZ region, owning the end-to-end growth journey from awareness to adoption for the Duolingo English Test. You will form a critical partnership with the Institutional Engagement team to synchronize marketing initiatives with institutional outreach and conversion targets, ensuring alignment across the entire sales cycle. The role requires you to conceive and deploy a comprehensive events strategy, including university roadshows, partner workshops, webinars, and key industry conferences that establish thought leadership. You will design repeatable playbooks and scalable systems that maintain execution quality while enabling rapid market expansion and long-term pipeline generation. Collaboration will be central as you work cross-functionally to deliver cohesive, high-quality messaging and assets that resonate with education stakeholders. You will define robust success metrics for every campaign, rigorously evaluate performance data, and translate insights into actionable adjustments for future growth. Partner closely with the Institutional Engagement team to align marketing efforts with institutional outreach and conversion goals across the entire candidate journey.
Design and execute a comprehensive events strategy that incorporates university roadshows, partner events, webinars, and attendance at industry conferences.
Develop repeatable playbooks and scalable processes that ensure consistent quality while supporting rapid expansion across multiple markets.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, cohesive messaging and materials that are tailored to every touchpoint in the buyer's journey.
Define clear success metrics for all campaigns, evaluate performance using data, and feed findings back into the strategy to inform continuous improvement.
Operate effectively within fast-paced, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams, making timely decisions with limited oversight.
Build and refine marketing systems and workflows that improve efficiency, enhance scalability, and support long-term growth objectives.
Act as the marketing lead in market-specific initiatives, translating global objectives into localized execution while maintaining brand integrity.
Champion data-driven decision-making by linking marketing activities to measurable outcomes such as engagement, adoption, and pipeline growth.
Serve as a strategic partner to sales and business development teams, ensuring marketing programs actively support pipeline generation and adoption targets.
Identify opportunities to differentiate the Duolingo English Test within the UK and ANZ education ecosystems, particularly among universities and government bodies.
Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape and emerging trends in EdTech and language testing to continually refine positioning and messaging.
Act as an ambassador for the Duolingo English Test, building relationships with key education stakeholders and influencers.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with substantial exposure to B2B or institutional marketing within education or related sectors.
Demonstrate a proven track record of designing and executing events or field marketing programs that successfully drive engagement and conversion.
Show strong understanding of the UK education landscape, including universities, study abroad pathways, and key decision-makers within institutions.
Show equally strong understanding of the ANZ education landscape, including how institutions operate across Australia and New Zealand.
Have direct experience partnering with sales or business development teams to drive pipeline, adoption, and measurable business outcomes.
Thrive in ambiguous environments by building structure, processes, and frameworks without relying on established playbooks.
Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners, managing complex relationships across cultures and regions.
Apply an analytical mindset to marketing efforts, connecting activities to concrete outcomes and key performance indicators.
