Software Engineer - Prediction Markets

About the role

Join the newly formed Prediction Markets desk at DRW to build and manage trading systems from the ground up. You will work closely with traders and researchers to develop infrastructure for pricing, risk management, and trade reconciliation in a high-autonomy environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain real-time pricing pipelines, middle-office tools, and cross-venue reconciliation systems.
• Collaborate with desk leads and researchers to translate trading strategies into production-ready software.
• Transition systems from initial prototypes into stable, scalable infrastructure.
• Manage the full lifecycle of your products, including design, implementation, and support.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience using Python.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
• Proven ability to deliver production systems while working directly with end users in fast-paced environments.
• Experience developing trade capture, position management, or reconciliation software.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing, multi-venue trading, and on-chain data.
• Deep understanding of trading operations, including PnL calculation, audit trails, and order lifecycles.
• Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in financial markets, cryptocurrency, or prediction markets.
• Background working with Linux-based, concurrent, and high-throughput systems.

Practical notes

• Annual base salary range: $150,000 to $225,000, based on experience and qualifications.
• Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
