Senior Software Engineer, Party & Account Services at DriveWealth.
About the role
DriveWealth is hiring a Java engineer to develop and maintain the core infrastructure for brokerage account operations. You will support global institutional partners by managing account lifecycles, KYC workflows, and regulatory integrations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Maintain Tier-1 API availability with a 150 ms latency target.
- Architect backend services for user registration, KYC, and brokerage account management.
- Develop REST services and Kafka-based asynchronous processors for equities, options, and fixed-income products.
- Manage integrations with clearing and reporting systems including FIS, DTCC ACAT, InteliClear, and BetaNXT.
- Convert regulatory requirements like FINRA rules and tax documentation (W-8/W-9) into functional system logic.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using EKS, Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, and Kafka.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Java backend development experience, specifically with Spring Boot 3 and functional programming.
- Advanced knowledge of DynamoDB, including GSI patterns, conditional writes, and atomic operations.
- Experience building and managing Kafka-based systems.
- Proven ability to design REST APIs with focus on versioning and backward compatibility.
- Experience with AWS services including S3 and SQS.
- Proficiency in JUnit 5 and Mockito for unit and integration testing.
- Understanding of distributed system concepts such as eventual consistency and transactional boundaries.
- Experience with Redis for caching and distributed locking.
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, brokerage, or clearing environments.
- Familiarity with Maven multi-module repositories, shared libraries, and JFrog Artifactory.
- Knowledge of AI frameworks and tools: LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Strands SDK, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agentic architectures.
