Key facts
What you'll do
- Perform hands-on software development to understand various money flows
- Collaborate with internal business and technology teams
- Design and architect new systems for the Cash & Liquidity Management team
- Maintain and improve existing systems
- Integrate with vendor banking-as-a-service APIs
- Gain a deep understanding of banking industry money movement workflows and automate manual processes
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend software development experience using OOP/Functional principles in Java, Kotlin, or Scala
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with several of the following: Spring Boot, OpenAPI, message queuing frameworks (AMQ, Kinesis, SQS, Kafka), distributed caching (Redis), DynamoDB (or similar), Postgres (or similar)
- Active development experience in a cloud-based microservices environment (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Experience with Git and Github, including gitflow and git actions
- Commitment to high code quality, eliminating duplication and awkward workarounds
- Discipline in writing well-formatted code and participating in code reviews
- Experience with automated testing, logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Understanding of software systems architecture, tradeoffs, and collaborative design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence in New York, NY, on a cadence set by the hiring manager/team.
