Data Engineering Manager

• Partner with product managers, analysts, and machine learning engineers to build ETL pipelines and extract actionable insights.
• Define and implement data architecture standards that are automated, scalable, and repeatable.
• Manage a team of data engineers, focusing on their professional development and individual success.
• Contribute to organizational data strategy in collaboration with leadership.
• Balance hands-on technical contributions with management duties.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience managing a team of 3 or more direct reports.
• Mastery of Python and SQL for building maintainable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in automated testing, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to lead projects from initial concept through planning and final delivery.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of the deployment and monitoring of machine learning and AI applications.
