About the role
Doss is developing an operations cloud to replace traditional ERP systems for physical product businesses. You will lead the implementation of AI across our platform, focusing on natural language interfaces, automated workflows, and agentic systems that interact with live financial and supply chain data.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the full lifecycle of applied AI, including model selection, RAG implementation, and production latency management.
- Develop Dossbot to serve as the primary interface for natural language analysis and operational automation.
- Create tools that use foundation models to generate and validate customer schemas and workflows.
- Build agentic workflows that operate within strict enterprise security, audit, and isolation requirements.
- Establish observability and evaluation frameworks to monitor system quality and prevent regressions.
- Collaborate with product and forward-deployed teams to identify and execute high-impact AI use cases.
- Provide technical mentorship to the engineering team regarding LLM-based system design and deployment.
Requirements
- Proven track record of shipping and maintaining LLM-powered features or agents in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with foundation model APIs, function calling, RAG pipelines, and targeted fine-tuning.
- Experience building evaluation harnesses and safety guardrails for systems handling critical business data.
- Strong background in backend engineering, including Postgres and multi-tenant cloud service architecture.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and determine the appropriate application of AI versus traditional software solutions.
