About the role
This role is centered on establishing and scaling a new commercial initiative within the Commerce Platform. The hired individual will be responsible for defining the annual sales vision and translating high-level company objectives into specific, actionable quarterly goals. Success in this position requires close collaboration with Product, Sales, and Analytics teams to convert research-backed insights into a high-velocity revenue engine. The focus is on building sustainable growth mechanisms rather than one-off transactions. You will own the end-to-end commercial health of a new initiative, ensuring that strategy is aligned with execution. This position demands comfort with ambiguity and the ability to drive 0-to-1 projects in a large, complex environment. The ultimate objective is to create a repeatable, scalable sales motion that strengthens the overall merchant ecosystem.

What you'll do
- Establish the annual sales vision and align it with the broader merchant growth strategy to ensure cohesive commercial outcomes.
- Set and manage quarterly sales targets, creating clear metrics and milestones that drive sustainable and measurable growth.
- Manage the business cadence, including Weekly Business Reviews, to rigorously track leads and opportunities with precision and foresight.
- Build and optimize an inbound sales function designed to improve conversion rates and enhance the overall merchant experience.
- Update sales tooling and systems to increase funnel efficiency, reduce friction, and accelerate deal velocity.
- Research and deploy AI tools to automate manual tasks, streamline workflows, and improve outreach productivity across the team.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, forecast accurately, and adjust strategies in real time to meet or exceed objectives.
- Partner with Product and Analytics to translate insights into operational workflows that enhance the seller journey and commercial results.
- Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Product, and Planning to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and commercial targets.
- Own the end-to-end process architecture for the commerce platform, ensuring that operations, data, and technology work in harmony.
- Develop and maintain strict standards for data integrity within CRM systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and trust in reporting.
- Drive cross-functional coordination across Sales, Product, Analytics, and Planning departments to remove blockers and accelerate execution.
- Identify gaps in current tooling and processes, then design and implement solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
- Serve as an operational leader who champions discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement in every initiative.
Requirements
- Proven track record of scaling new initiatives within large, complex organizations, demonstrating the ability to grow programs from concept to maturity.
- Ability to manage 0-to-1 projects with high attention to detail, ensuring that foundational work is thorough, reliable, and well-documented.
- Experience mapping operational workflows, identifying data gaps, and building end-to-end AI-driven solutions that improve performance.
- Proficiency in building and deploying automation using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to enhance productivity and reduce manual effort.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose funnel issues, interpret data patterns, and identify root causes quickly and accurately.
- Ability to navigate and coordinate across Sales, Product, Analytics, and Planning departments, influencing without direct authority.
- Commitment to operational discipline and data integrity within CRM systems, ensuring that all information is accurate, current, and actionable.
- Demonstrated success in managing full sales cycles, from initial contact through close, with a focus on efficiency and outcomes.

Practical notes
Compensation includes base salary, equity grants, and a benefits package including 401(k) matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, medical, dental, vision, and flexible time off.
