About the role
You will plan and execute the test and integration strategy for high-performance electronic systems within a multidisciplinary engineering team. You will take ownership of medium to high-voltage power electronics, ensuring rigorous validation of prototypes against demanding specifications. You will collaborate closely with lead designers to translate circuit designs into functional hardware and support troubleshooting activities in a fast-paced setting. You will document procedures and results meticulously to support design verification and knowledge transfer. You will operate advanced test platforms that validate the performance and reliability of custom electronic modules. You will interface directly with program managers and customers to align technical execution with mission objectives. You will contribute hands-on expertise to de-risk design choices and accelerate the maturation of prototype hardware.

What you'll do
- Drive the test and integration plan for power electronics and mixed-signal hardware from concept to delivery.
- Execute hands-on evaluation of high-voltage, high-frequency circuits based on SiC or GaN technologies operating at elevated power levels.
- Develop detailed test procedures in coordination with lead designers to verify performance against stringent requirements.
- Fabricate and modify wiring harnesses, connectors, and mechanical interfaces to support prototype assembly and measurement.
- Operate and maintain a broad range of bench and automated test equipment, including power supplies and signal generators.
- Capture, organize, and archive test data in a structured format to support analysis and traceability.
- Perform fault isolation and debugging of complex analog, digital, and power electronic circuits under varying conditions.
- Source, evaluate, and integrate commercial off-the-shelf and custom components to meet project specifications.
- Support the development and execution of safety protocols for hazardous voltage and high-energy experiments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align test activities with schedule, risk, and quality objectives.
- Evaluate emerging components and packaging approaches for microwave and mmWave applications in demanding environments.
- Recommend improvements to test methods, documentation, and equipment utilization based on observed results.
- Interface with manufacturing representatives to ensure that prototype solutions are practical for production scaling.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices for electronic assembly, measurement, and validation.
- Participate in technical reviews and present findings to internal stakeholders and customer representatives.
Requirements
- Hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Possess at least 1 year of hands-on experience testing and integrating power, control, or analog electronics.
- Demonstrate proven ability to wire, construct, fabricate, assemble, and repair physical electronic systems.
- Show familiarity with SiC or GaN device technologies and their application in power conversion circuits.
- Bring experience working with voltages exceeding 1 kV in a test or prototype environment.
- Highlight practical knowledge of printed circuit board layout and circuit simulation using tools such as Altium or SPICE.
- Perform hands-on electrical and electronics fabrication, including preparing wiring harnesses and precision soldering.
- Write and adapt computer programs in languages such as Matlab, Python, C, C++, or LabVIEW to support testing and data analysis.
- Competently use basic lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, network analyzers, and impedance analyzers.
- Understand safety procedures necessary for operating hazardous equipment and handling high-energy systems.
- Work effectively within a team structure while also exercising independence when required.
- Be willing to travel to support project activities and operate in a deadline-driven, fast-paced engineering environment.
- Maintain eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.

- Demonstrate knowledge of switch-mode power electronics topologies and control schemes.
- Apply familiarity with electronic test equipment, digital logic, and safety best practices in a professional setting.
