About the role
Directive is seeking a Social Media Advertising Strategist to manage paid social accounts for B2B clients. This client-facing position involves developing and executing custom strategies, optimizing campaigns, and fostering strong client relationships. You will work with B2B businesses across technology, industrial, and services sectors.

What you'll do
- Lead and manage multiple social media advertising accounts.
- Provide direct support to client contacts.
- Communicate weekly with vendors and operational partners to ensure alignment and quality.
- Develop quarterly strategies for clients.
- Create, maintain, and optimize paid media campaign budgets.
- Understand client positioning and value propositions.
- Confirm accurate lead routing within CRM systems.
- Manage personal productivity and utilization targets.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to achieve internal and client goals.
- Understand the value of programmatic advertising campaigns.
- Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals through client relationships.
- Execute and optimize LinkedIn advertising campaigns, including ad copywriting, target audience development, and targeting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience at a performance or digital marketing agency, with hands-on B2B client support.
- Extensive knowledge of paid social advertising campaigns, especially LinkedIn Ads.
- Familiarity with various LinkedIn Ad Units (e.g., conversation ads, document ads, CTV).
- Proficiency with advertising platforms and tools like LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, and 6Sense.
- Strong grasp of paid media principles, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel to make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to drive and measure results via North Star Metrics (NSMs).
- Experience with audience segmentation by tier and job title.
- Demonstrated success with mid-market or enterprise accounts.
- Capability to articulate strategy and present data-driven narratives.
- Competitive and curious mindset, with a problem-solving approach.
- Stays current with industry trends and seeks growth opportunities.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Focus on quality in advertising campaigns.
- Willingness to travel to client sites approximately once per year per client, or as needed.
- Must have established and current work authorization and permanently reside in Canada.
