About the role
Join directive's finance team as an Accounting Intern, supporting the daily financial operations of a growing B2B performance marketing agency. This position blends attention to detail with financial understanding, helping maintain accurate records and contributing to reports that guide business decisions.
Key facts
What you'll do
Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including cash disbursements and receipts.
Support billing processes and manage new and lost client account procedures with a focus on precision.
Process weekly transactions and aid in year-end 1099 filings and periodic compliance submissions.
Help with semi-monthly payroll and conduct quarterly reviews of deductions and benefits.
Track vendor payments and ensure necessary W-9 forms are collected.
Follow established process checklists, policies, and procedures.
Participate in month-end closing activities, including reconciling bank and credit card statements and preparing journal entries.
Maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and debt amortization.
Manage affiliate payment schedules and perform account reconciliations.
Contribute to daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting tasks.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting.
Proficient communication skills in English.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Capacity to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks concurrently, with a sense of urgency for critical items.
A strong commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in your work.

Practical notes
This is a fully remote position within Mexico. You must have permanent work authorization and reside in Mexico. Collaboration primarily occurs via Zoom and Slack. A laptop (PC or Mac) and standard office productivity software are required. You must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, observe and interpret communication, and have reliable internet access with a professional background.
