Engineering Manager, AI Transformation

This role serves as the technical lead for the AI Transformation team, focusing on hands-on development and engineering oversight. You will define technical standards, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, production-ready AI systems.

What you'll do

• Establish and enforce engineering standards, including architecture choices, code reviews, and evaluation frameworks.
• Design and deploy AI-driven systems such as agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM-based automations.
• Mentor analysts and junior engineers on AI fundamentals, debugging, and production workflows.
• Manage technical tooling decisions, including model selection and infrastructure patterns.
• Write and review production-grade code directly.
• Convert complex business needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Partner with Analytics, Sales, CX, Finance, and Operations departments to build reliable AI solutions.
• Create and maintain AI evaluation practices for continuous system improvement.
• Work with the Senior Manager of AI Transformation to prioritize the technical roadmap.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical debt.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or AI systems development.
• 1-3 years of management experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered systems, including agents and RAG pipelines, into production.
• Proficiency in Python for writing and debugging production code.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers and analysts.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation methods and feedback loop design.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
• Familiarity with the full stack, including APIs, data pipelines, infrastructure, and monitoring.
• Strong English communication skills to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work with distributed and offshore teams.
• Must be available during US overlapping hours (9 AM - 6 PM ART).
