AI Transformation Analyst

About the role

Dialpad is seeking a P3-level AI Transformation Analyst to design and deploy internal AI products that optimize company operations. You will manage the full development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and architecting systems to monitoring production performance.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain production-grade AI systems, including RAG applications, multi-agent workflows, and LLM-powered services.
• Lead technical implementation of AI projects from initial discovery to final deployment.
• Architect backend services, APIs, and retrieval systems.
• Enhance the observability, reliability, and performance of AI applications.
• Establish engineering standards, documentation, and best practices for AI development.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into technical solutions.
• Assess new foundation models, frameworks, and prompting strategies for potential adoption.
• Create automated testing strategies and evaluation frameworks for LLM systems.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.
• Engage in sprint planning, architectural reviews, and cross-functional project delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software, machine learning, or AI engineering.
• Proficiency in Python for building and maintaining production systems.
• Expertise in LLMs, including prompting, structured outputs, tool calling, and AI architecture.
• Experience deploying RAG systems, covering chunking, embeddings, retrieval optimization, and reranking.
• Experience building agentic workflows with tools like LangGraph, LangChain, or OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Ability to integrate enterprise systems and external APIs.
• Knowledge of software engineering standards, including CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and containerization.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain overlap with North American and global engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• Proven track record of deploying AI systems into production at scale.
• Experience with vector databases such as pgvector or Vertex AI Vector Search.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for LLM cost, latency, and quality.
• Familiarity with orchestration platforms like Airflow, n8n, or LangGraph.
• Experience with BigQuery and SQL.
• Contributions to open-source AI or personal AI projects.
