About the role
This position involves establishing the talent acquisition framework from its inception to support rapid technical hiring. You will shape the company's hiring practices, culture, and identity as a leading security AI firm during a crucial growth period. This role offers the chance to define the early team's composition and recruiting strategy.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the complete recruiting process for engineering and technical positions, handling several searches concurrently.
- Collaborate directly with founders and hiring managers to outline job requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and compensation plans.
- Develop the recruiting strategy from the ground up, including sourcing methods, candidate assessment frameworks, and market positioning.
- Proactively source candidates through direct outreach, technical communities, referrals, and other channels.
- Contribute to building the employer brand and recruiting story, communicating why depthfirst is a compelling place to work on autonomous security.
Requirements
- 5-7 or more years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, preferably at fast-growing startups.
- Demonstrated success in hiring outstanding engineering talent in competitive markets.
- Strong understanding of technical roles, including backend systems, ML infrastructure, and security engineering.
- Experience in building recruiting functions from scratch or being an initial recruiting hire.
- A high sense of ownership and comfort with uncertainty, thriving in dynamic environments.
- Mission-driven and genuinely interested in AI and security.
- Must be located in or willing to move to San Francisco for an in-office role.
