About the role
This position places you at the core of depthfirst's operations, working alongside the CEO and executive team during a critical growth phase. You will be instrumental in translating strategic vision into practical execution, managing initiatives that span multiple departments, and resolving complex, cross-functional challenges. This role offers significant exposure to the inner workings of a rapidly expanding AI security company.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, converting priorities into structured plans like OKRs, board materials, and investor updates.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalate to the CEO.
- Lead high-priority, cross-departmental projects such as competitive analysis and AI automation efforts.
- Manage the company's operational rhythm, including leadership meetings, all-hands gatherings, and planning cycles.
- Develop comprehensive views of product economics, market dynamics, and business performance to align Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams.
- Represent the CEO in communications with functional leads, customers, board members, and investors.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience combining strategy consulting, banking/private equity, or an operating role (General Manager, business operations, or functional lead) at a scaling startup.
- Bachelor's Degree from a top university.
- Direct startup experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to navigate unclear situations and build trust with peers across functions.
- Proficiency in the language of Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to earn their confidence.
- Proven capability to tackle unstructured problems and independently drive them to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to switch between strategic thinking and tactical execution within the same day.
- High level of judgment and discretion due to regular access to sensitive company information.

- Experience at a high-growth startup or early-stage company.
- Practical experience with AI tools, agents, or automation to boost analytical and operational speed.
- Familiarity with security, infrastructure, or developer tooling markets.
