Cyber AI Data Engineer Senior Consultant

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Consultant to develop the data infrastructure that supports AI-driven cyber defense and risk management. You will create production-ready pipelines and services that prioritize data governance, security, and audit readiness for enterprise clients.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Construct scalable batch and stream pipelines to ingest security telemetry and compliance data.
• Develop data models for risk domains, including control testing, audit evidence, and policy exceptions.
• Establish data quality frameworks, lineage, and access controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build AI-powered tools for cyber operations, such as investigation copilots, automated ticket triage, and retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
• Create integrations between data platforms and enterprise systems using APIs and event-driven patterns.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Risk stakeholders to define technical guardrails and security controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software development and data engineering using Python and SQL.
• Background in deploying cloud-based data pipelines, containers, infrastructure as code, and API management.
• Experience managing data governance, including PII handling, encryption, audit logging, and metadata management.
• Proficiency in supporting GRC workflows and building LLM-based applications using vector retrieval and prompt-injection defenses.
• Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a Big 4 or consulting firm.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or JavaScript.
• Integration experience with Archer, ServiceNow GRC, BigID, or OneTrust.
• Background in SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, or cloud security data.
• Experience with MLOps or LLMOps, including model monitoring and versioning.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or cloud-specific credentials.
