Software Engineer II (Golang), Promo Cart

About the role

Join the Promo Cart team to develop the infrastructure powering our quick commerce expansion. You will design scalable systems that support our transition from food delivery into diverse retail and grocery markets.

What you'll do

• Architect and build the next generation of our commerce platform to support food and retail products.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define technical strategy.
• Develop reliable, high-concurrency systems capable of supporting global traffic.
• Maintain high engineering standards through automated testing and quality-focused development.
• Take full ownership of your technical decisions from the design phase through to production.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with Golang in distributed systems.
• At least 3 years of experience working on large-scale applications.
• 3+ years of experience using agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in cloud hosting using AWS or GCP.
• Experience with infrastructure tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm.

Nice to have

• Background in E-commerce environments.
• Experience implementing RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Drone, or Spinnaker.
• Proficiency with monitoring and logging stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, and distributed tracing.
• Experience maintaining high-traffic microservices on Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of microservice communication patterns.
• Familiarity with event-driven hexagonal architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, including ACID compliance and indexing.
• Experience with document-oriented databases such as MongoDB, Couchbase, DynamoDB, or Firestore.
