Senior Operations Project Manager

This role involves leading critical strategic initiatives within the Glovo Kazakhstan Operations team. You will manage complex logistics networks and develop new business verticals. This position is for an independent executor focused on improving real-world logistics and fleet operations.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Direct the Logistics as a Service (LaaS) vertical, expanding operations with major partners in Kazakhstan.
• Oversee Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners, transforming them into active fleet management companies responsible for courier acquisition, retention, and compliance.
• Improve partner operations by focusing on user experience metrics, such as reducing preparation time and avoidable courier waiting time.
• Identify and resolve process issues, establish operational protocols, and implement quick solutions during peak periods or crises.
• Lead commercial and operational negotiations with key accounts, distributors, and external suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field like Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• 2-4 years of project management experience in fast-paced operational settings such as food delivery, quick-commerce, retail logistics, or on-demand delivery. Experience in pure software or IT project management is not relevant for this hands-on role.
• Proven ability to manage external vendors, overcome structural resistance, and create long-term contractual agreements.
• A data-driven approach with strong analytical skills, making decisions based on data and sound business judgment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on attitude.
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a natural inclination to drive outcomes.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly growing and high-performance startup environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience interacting effectively across various organizational levels.
• Ability to manage workload efficiently, prioritize multiple tasks, and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Proficiency in written and oral English and Kazakh.
