Analytics Engineering Manager

About the role

We are establishing an AI Center of Excellence and need a hands-on manager to lead our agentic analytics initiatives. You will balance team leadership with active coding, designing models, and deploying LLM-based automations to improve business efficiency.

What you'll do

• Manage and mentor analytics engineers while contributing directly to code and system design.
• Develop LLM-powered internal copilots, workflow agents, and data QA bots to accelerate product and business operations.
• Architect the semantic layer, including metrics and metadata, within dbt and BigQuery to ensure a reliable source of truth.
• Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks using tools like Langfuse or Phoenix to track cost, latency, and model performance.
• Oversee core ETL pipelines and warehouse modeling to maintain a stable data infrastructure.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering with a focus on ELT, warehousing, and data modeling.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity for analytics engineering teams.
• Advanced skills in Python and SQL.
• Proven track record of deploying large-scale data automation solutions, with LLM experience being a significant advantage.
• Practical experience with dbt and BigQuery or similar platforms like Snowflake or Redshift.
• Familiarity with metrics frameworks, semantic layers, and metadata management.
• Strong project management skills, including scoping, resource planning, and technical discovery.
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
