What you'll do

• Operate within a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center, including scheduled night, weekend, and on-call shifts for high and critical issues.
• Act as the initial responder, triaging and investigating real-time alerts for phishing, malware, network attacks, and privacy incidents within set service level agreements.
• Serve as the primary contact for medium-to-high severity alerts, providing tactical guidance and escalating when necessary.
• Contribute to security playbooks and assist in developing AI-driven runbooks for automated alert triage.
• Support broader security incident investigations with Threat Intelligence and Incident Response & Digital Forensics teams.
• Help develop SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) workflows to streamline incident handling.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness programs for employees, focusing on incident reporting and best practices.
• Lead low and medium security incidents.
• Support incidents and initiatives led by Senior Specialists and help mentor and train Security Analysts.
• Coordinate with US, UK, and EU central security teams as needed.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, successfully resolving high-priority security alerts by identifying root causes.
• Experience optimizing detection logic as a technical lead.
• Hands-on experience in a Security Operations Centre, using monitoring platforms and triaging real-time alerts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security configuration, SOAR, GSO, EDR/XDR, Splunk, and SQL queries.
• Proven knowledge of optimal cloud security configurations, especially across AWS.
• Exceptional collaborative team player with a knowledge-sharing mindset.
• Familiarity with security compliance standards such as ISO27001, NIS2, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
