Operations Manager

About the role

This position involves developing solutions to significant challenges within the French market to ensure a smooth customer experience. You will directly contribute to a core strategic pillar for Deliveroo's operations. This role focuses on improving the way people shop and eat by delivering thoughtful, efficient, and empathetic service.

What you'll do

• Manage intricate logistical and financial strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with various business units to enhance the delivery network.
• Define market-leading strategies at a hyper-local level to improve network efficiency.
• Create models and frameworks to standardize monitoring and support operations.
• Work to improve the experience for both rider partners and customers.
• Identify growth and quality objectives and develop plans with strong modeling skills.
• Lead the execution of strategic plans.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in a fast-paced, project-oriented organization, such as a tech startup or management consultancy.
• Strong background in quantitative and qualitative analytics, including Excel modeling and database analysis.
• Excellent command of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to independently structure, coordinate, and execute projects.
• Effective prioritization skills, favoring 80/20 approaches, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication in both English and French.
• Demonstrated experience presenting to senior audiences and influencing decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a preference for collaborative environments.
• An analytical and impact-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to understand the broader business context and detailed dynamics behind trends.
• Proactive collaboration with colleagues across functions to identify customer experience improvements.
• Capability to monitor competitor activities and identify business impacts and opportunities.

This is a hybrid role based in the Paris office. Deliveroo is part of DoorDash, and collaboration may extend to teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt.
