Join a team building the core translation products for a global AI company. This role focuses on developing user-facing features and backend logic for DeepL's flagship language AI platform. You will contribute to products used by millions of individuals and over 200,000 businesses worldwide.

What you'll do

• Design and build complex user features across DeepL's main translation products.
• Develop interfaces and backend systems for enterprise and consumer users, handling diverse document formats.
• Make high-level technical decisions, prototyping and iterating quickly based on user feedback.
• Work with Research, Product, and Design teams to integrate AI constraints into intuitive user experiences.
• Utilize AI-powered tools for code generation, testing, and debugging to focus on complex problem-solving.

Requirements

• A "Product-First" approach, prioritizing user experience and business impact.
• Full-stack engineering skills with a strong backend focus.
• Hands-on experience with C# and Python.
• Comfort with JavaScript-based rendering and front-end development.
• Ability to take initiative and resolve issues independently.
• Understanding of how to design systems for complex UI/UX, large document states, and terminology rules.

Nice to have

• Experience with visual or image processing models for document analysis.
• Prior work on OCR or document layout understanding.
• Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems like SAP.
• Experience building products for both B2C and enterprise customers.
