About the role
Join a high-visibility team reporting directly to the Founder and CEO to shape the future of AI at Datadog. You will manage strategic initiatives including acquisitions, venture investments, and startup partnerships while building deep connections across the founder and VC ecosystem.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Analyze emerging technologies and market trends to inform Datadog's AI product roadmap.
- Identify and source promising AI startups for potential investment, acquisition, or partnership.
- Lead deal workstreams including financial modeling, valuation, strategic assessment, and due diligence.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product leadership to evaluate build versus buy versus partner decisions.
- Manage negotiation processes and support post-deal integration planning.
- Engage with the broader AI community through conferences and events to attract startups to the Datadog ecosystem.
Requirements
- Technical proficiency gained through a Computer Science degree (or equivalent) or professional experience in software engineering, product management, or venture capital.
- Ability to build and maintain a professional network among founders and venture capitalists.
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, or modeling.
- Capacity to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to refine negotiation abilities.
