About the role
Datadog is seeking a senior engineering leader to anchor and expand our Tel Aviv office. You will oversee a multi-team organization focused on core product areas such as Product Analytics, Security Monitoring, Universal Service Monitoring, and Software Delivery tools. This position requires a hands-on leader to drive technical strategy, cultivate local talent, and collaborate with global teams across Paris and the United States.

What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of engineers and engineering managers.
- Partner with product management and design to define and execute the product roadmap.
- Establish high technical standards and promote an AI-first approach to development and leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects across multiple global office locations.
- Recruit and develop senior-level talent to increase the technical seniority of the site.
- Shape the long-term culture and operational strategy of the Tel Aviv engineering hub.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing engineering managers and leading organizations with multiple layers of reporting.
- Background in building and growing high-performing engineering teams, including long-term career development planning.
- Deep technical expertise in at least one relevant domain: web/product analytics, developer experience, low-level systems/networking, or security engineering.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-geography, distributed company structure.
- Strong product sense with a history of collaborating closely with product and design teams to determine product direction.
- Experience integrating AI into engineering practices and product development.
Skills & tools
- Expertise in web and product analytics, agentic or developer-experience products, low-level systems, networking, or security engineering.
- Proficiency in leading multi-layered engineering organizations.
- AI-first development and leadership methodology.
