Sr. Event Technology Manager, Digital Tools at Databricks.
About the role
This position manages the digital tools workstream for our flagship B2B conference, which serves over 35,000 in-person and 100,000 virtual participants. You will act as the primary owner for registration, mobile applications, content, and exhibitor systems while collaborating with the Lead, Event Digital Tools to execute our strategy.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Direct the execution of digital tools for our flagship event, translating high-level strategy into detailed build and operational plans.
- Serve as the RainFocus subject matter expert, handling configuration, workflow development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of the event mobile app.
- Oversee data integrations between RainFocus, mobile apps, and enterprise systems like Databricks, Salesforce, and Marketo.
- Translate shifting requirements from marketing, sales, and vendor partners into clear, actionable specifications for agencies and contractors.
- Define and track metrics to report on the success and impact of digital event tools.
- Document all configurations and processes to ensure scalability for future programs.
- Integrate AI-driven workflows and agent-based tools into event operations to improve efficiency.
- Travel to provide onsite support for the flagship conference and other large-scale events.
Requirements
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in corporate events.
- Direct, hands-on experience administering and configuring RainFocus.
- Proven track record leading digital tools for conferences with 35,000+ in-person and 100,000+ virtual attendees.
- Experience managing integrations between event tech and marketing technology stacks.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to manage complex, changing requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Understanding of AI agent concepts and safe, productive application of AI tools.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

- Familiarity with event platforms such as Stova, Swoogo, Eventbase, or Amego.

- Pay ranges vary by zone: Zone 1 ($148,600 - $204,250), Zone 2 ($133,700 - $183,800), Zone 3 ($126,200 - $173,600), and Zone 4 ($118,900 - $163,450).
- Total compensation includes base salary, annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
