Director, Ventures Partner Portfolio

About the role

This position manages the growth and strategic alignment of the Databricks investment portfolio. You will oversee a group of fifteen partners, ensuring they meet contractual obligations while scaling their technical and commercial capabilities.

What you'll do

• Execute joint business plans by tracking quarterly progress against target accounts, consumption milestones, and marketing KPIs.
• Accelerate partner-sourced pipeline and identify new market expansion opportunities.
• Enforce product certification targets to increase the technical proficiency of partner practices.
• Manage governance and contractual compliance for newly invested portfolio partners.
• Resolve partner blockers by coordinating with internal leadership across Sales, Engineering, and Product.
• Analyze field feedback regarding product traction and talent shifts to update portfolio scoring models.
• Evaluate the broader ecosystem to source the next group of partners for strategic investment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in strategic partnership management, specifically within high-growth alliances, venture-backed ecosystems, or investment portfolios.
• Proven history of driving business growth, pipeline development, and consumption outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of partner lifecycle management, corporate governance, and cross-functional go-to-market execution.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Field Sales to solve technical or commercial challenges.
• Domain expertise in cloud technologies, Data, Analytics, and AI.
• Operational rigor in tracking performance metrics and utilizing data for predictive modeling.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and manage diplomatic partner relations.
• Strategic planning and leadership skills to build and coach a high-performing team.
